Amana Model Secondary School (AMSS) is an educational institution owned by Amana Education and Training PLC., which is registered with the Addis Ababa City Administration Trade Bureau under Registration No. KK/AA/2/0023545/2016. AMSS is granted license by the Education and Training Quality Regulatory Authority to admit up to 600 students of grades 9-12. 

The company, which is founded by a group of academicians and business leaders, has opened the doors to its flagship AMSS in 2024 (2017 E.C.) with a mission to revolutionize education in the country. Undoubtedly, AMSS is the only secondary school in Ethiopia where more than half of its educators are university professors in different academic fields, with several years of experience.   

AMSS is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and will employ university professors to deliver a hands-on, practice-based curriculum. This innovative approach aims to spark students' curiosity and deepen their understanding of natural science subjects. 

AMSS’ focus on natural science subjects does not diminish its commitment to provide quality education on social science subjects. In the social sciences, AMSS follows an education model, which emphasizes critical thinking, active engagement, and using the surrounding environment as a learning lab.
